What is Nosis?

Nosis is a digital health company offering whole-person care via telehealth for people in recovery from substance use disorder. Each member works with a dedicated integrative addiction medicine clinician and health coach on a consistent basis, receives personalized care plans, and undergoes regular biomarker testing to track progress and guide plan adjustments. Therapy is available as an optional add-on, which we highly recommend for members not already working with a therapist, and medication management may be included based on the selected package.

Our approach emphasizes key pillars of health: nutrition, movement, sleep, stress management, and connection. Members additionally benefit from daily supplements, discounted specialty testing options, weekly groups, and daily bite-sized lessons designed to support their journey.

What will my Nosis Care Team look like?

Your care team will include a dedicated integrative addiction medicine clinician (MD, PA, or NP), a certified health coach, and optionally a therapist. You will also have a membership concierge available to assist with any logistical needs.

At Nosis, relationships are central to our care. Our care team is made up of exceptional providers who are highly trained in addiction, integrative, functional, and/or lifestyle medicine, with ether lived experience in recovery and/or extensive experience working with people in recovery.

What is integrative medicine and how is it different from conventional healthcare?

Integrative medicine is a holistic approach to healthcare, combining conventional medical treatments with evidence-based functional, lifestyle, and traditional healing modalities. Rather than approaching physical and mental illness from our current disease-care model, integrative medicine focuses on prevention and treatment of root cause dysfunction. Integrative medicine does not attempt to manage individual symptomatology, but rather guides individuals through lifestyle change to support lasting healing of body, mind and spirit. Collaboration between providers and clients supports a personalized approach that optimizes health, empowerment  and ultimately, vibrant and elevated recovery.

Can Nosis write prescriptions?

Yes, when medically appropriate and with informed consent, Nosis clinicians can prescribe medications, including but not limited to:

  • Medications to support recovery (e.g., buprenorphine, naltrexone)
  • Medications for chronic disease management (e.g., hypertension, insulin resistance)
  • Medications for mental health conditions (e.g., anxiety, depression)
  • Hormone optimization (e.g., thyroid, reproductive hormones)
  • Weight management medications (e.g., GLP-1’s)

Medication costs are not included in the Nosis package price and can be covered by insurance per your policy. Certain medications may require ongoing lab testing and follow-up evaluations to ensure safe and effective use.  Medication management depends on the membership package selected and is tailored to each member’s unique needs.

Does Nosis accept health insurance?

No, Nosis does not accept health insurance at this time. However, we do accept HSA/FSA payment and can provide superbills to submit to insurance for potential reimbursement.

It’s not just about quitting—it’s about becoming.
